Last night I tweeted about thinking that Foster the People’s “Pumped Up Kicks” was curious to me, in that it’s actually quite unremarkable. I certainly don’t think it’s bad, but I’m not sure what appeal that song has that any number of other 2011 songs don’t (well, besides a bit of major label push - not that there’s anything wrong with that).

Anyway, here’s a quick Spotify playlist of catchy 2011 tracks - “catchy” is sort of the guiding theme, thanks to Josiah. This is a bit of a preview of my year-end favorite tracks list, I guess, but it’s only twenty tracks.
